New Addition

It has been almost 2 weeks now, so I thought I would take the time to tell the story of how Cooper came into this world!

The story begins on Sat. Sept 4th when Cyle and I decided to go for a very strenuous walk to get treats at Barnes & Noble. We were laughing with his boss because he was scheduled to work an extra long shift the next day and if I went into labor, she would have to cover for him. (Totally not our intention!)

We come to Sunday morning. I woke up from my dreams that I was having contractions. When I came to a little more, I realized that it was not just in my dreams, they were real. So I finally woke Cyle up at about 8 to ask for a watch to start timing them. They were not normal by any means, so Cyle decided he would just go to work with the understanding that I would call him when I thought it was time to go to the hospital. About 5 min after Cyle left, my contractions started to get to the point that I couldn't stand up. SO I called my mom to see what she thought I should do. She said to go to the hospital to get drugs. (GOOD CALL MOM!) I called Cyle and said we have to go now. Thanks to a great boss and her husband, Cyle not only left work on a very short notice, but his boss's husband took Xander and watched him until we had the baby. (Thank you Danyel and Jeremiah!)

Luckily we got to the hospital when we did (9:45am) because when we got there I was dilated to a 7! We only had to wait until about 1:20pm when the dr. came in and I started to push. I only had to push through 3 contractions and out came my beautiful baby boy! He weighed in at 6lbs 11 oz and was 20 in. long. He has lots of dark hair and long fingers and toes!

I feel so lucky to have such a sweet little guy in my life! Xander loves him too and is so protective of him!
